How to Make Felt Sweets

Felt is a very easy and forgiving material to work with. A crafter can create anything she would like with felt. One very sweet and recognizable theme for felt crafts is sweets. This can be anything from candy to pastries to ice cream. This craft can also be a very quick one using a hot glue gun, which means you can end up having many different sweets done in a day.

Things You'll Need

  • Felt

  • Pins

  • Scissors

  • Hot glue gun

  • Hot glue gun sticks

  • Pillow stuffing

  • Glitter

  • Marker

  • Instructions

1Decide what kind of candy you are going to create. As an example, peppermint candy is a great candy to use for this project. It's iconic, easily recognizable and has a very simple shape. Once you've decided what to create, place two pieces of felt together. Draw an outline of a piece of candy. Pin and cut out.
2Hot glue the edges of the felt pieces together, leaving a small opening for the stuffing. Allow to dry completely. Stuff the inside with craft stuffing. Hot glue the opening shut.

3Add more details like swirls or sprinkles. Details can be cut out of other pieces of different colored felt and hot glued on. If you are creating the peppermint candy mentioned earlier, cut the red swirls out of red felt and hot glue them onto the white surface. Or use confetti or sequins. Glue on white glitter to look like a sugar coating.
